Sebco Announces the launch of the Sebco Oil Recovery Units Fuel Storage Systems Ltd, of Ashburton manufacturers of the Sebco diesel station range are announcing the launch of a new range of bunded self contained oil recovery tanks. Farmers and industry can now safely store their waste oil in Sebco Oil Recovery Units, which come in 500 litre, 1000 litre and 2000 litre capacity.
Ed Harrison, director says this is a welcome addition to the growing Sebco range, “we had supplied our larger waste oil tank to large users and council recyclers but were being asked to supply a smaller bunded tank for waste oil as the demands being placed on farmers and industry are getting tighter” says Ed.
All the units are double skin so there is no fear of leaking to the environment, they are supplied with all correct signage in place and they have the highest UV package able to be used in a rotomoulded product so the Sebco oil recovery unit will have a long lifespan. These units have been designed for ease of use both filling up and sucking waste from. Sebco offer freight free delivery to your site in the North or South Islands and also offer a 30 money back guarantee. “It is so important for us to have our customers happy, talking to their neighbours and friends about the Sebco product range, we really work on doing things right” says Ed. Sebco can also advise on operators who are able to collect the waste oil and take it away.
Rural Contractor and Large Scale Farmer Publication February/March 2010 "Canterbury Farmer Says Sebco Diesel Station Deliver Security, Clean Fuel" South Canterbury farmer Brian Stratford has set up a comprehensive fuel storage and monitoring system on his properties using the Sebco Diesel Stations, which monitors fuel usage across his entire fleet of vehicles. Brian and his wife Lynn are potato and cropping farmers with interests in other farming operations in South and Mid-Canterbury. They have a large land holding near Temuka and another at Lauriston, about 25km inland from Chertsey. They also lease neighbouring properties to complement their farms. “To keep an operation this size going you need a lot of machinery and we certainly own our share” says Brian Stratford. “We bought the Sebco tanks because we decided we needed a better way to record our fuel usage, have cleaner fuel for our late model fleet and generally have a tidier and cleaner dispensing system that is better for the environment.” The Stratfords installed three Sebco 4800 Diesel Stations late last year on their South Canterbury and Lauriston properties. Sebco Diesel Stations are manufactured by Fuel Storage Systems Limited in Ashburton. Sebco also produces SCR stations for AdBlue and oil recovery containers. Sebco 4800 diesel stations are fully bunded and self contained. Standard features include a 70 litre per minute Piusi pump, four metres of hose with auto shut-off nozzle, electronic level indicator, a light for night use and a locking front door. All nuts and bolts are stainless steel marine grade. An option with the Sebco Diesel Station is the Piusi MC 70 key controller pump. It has electronic keys that record the amount of fuel going into every vehicle. This system allows you to maintain a record of who took fuel, how much, when it was taken, and what vehicle has been filled. Brian Stratford says the security of the units is great. “The key and software set up is one of the best features of the system. We use itto monitor the fuel usage in all our vehicles. In the past, we didn’t keep a track of it at all.” Brian Stratford says. On that day the Stratfords started using the system, they ensured all of their vehicles were filled with fuel in order to begin monitoring accurately. The hours on the tractors were recorded, along with the mileage on other vehicles. “On the 20th of every month we download all the information from the tanks onto our key and transfer it to the computer at home. We have a complete record of all the fuel used in every vehicle. “It’s going to sharpen up our operation. We can see which trucks are doing the better mileage, and we can make sure we’re getting the best out of our vehicles.” “It’s a system that allows for traceability of our fuel. It’s important, as we go through so much fuel,” Brian Stratford says. “It makes the system fairly foolproof. If fuel starts going missing and you see that the vehicle is using a lot of fuel, you can see who is taking the fuel out. It’s a simple system and it’s great.” Sebco Managing Director Ed Harrison is pleased to have won a contract to provide fuel tanks to a top-end farmer such as Brian Stratford. He says Sebco has fuel systems for the whole spectrum of New Zealand farmers, from largest to the smallest. “Contractors and farmers who have vehicles with common rail engines should definitely consider a Sebco tank. There has been a lot of talk in the media about damage caused to engines by dirty diesel. The problem can come from using old-style steel tanks,” Ed Harrison says. “All our bunded tanks are double lined and therefore insulated. This virtually eliminates condensation, which is the main way fuel is contaminated.” For more information on Sebco bunded tanks visit www.sebco.co.nz or call 0800 473 226. |
